Founded in 1859 by António Alves Cálem, Porto Cálem has remained in the same family for four generations and has always dedicated great attention to producing quality Port Wines, earning recognition throughout the wine world.
With its famous "Velhotes" Port Wine line, launched in 1934, it gained national recognition, becoming the number one selling brand in Portugal, with over 3 million bottles sold annually.
Today, Cálem belongs to the Sogevinus Group, which continues to perpetuate brands created five centuries ago.
