Dom Rafael Red is a contemporary Alentejo wine rooted in over a century of tradition. Crafted from Aragonêz, Trincadeira, Castelão and Alicante Bouschet, the grapes are hand-picked and foot-trodden in open stone lagares – the same methods used for over 100 years at Herdade do Mouchão. Aged 12 months in chestnut and Portuguese/French oak, followed by 12 months in bottle, this wine shows freshness, depth and regional character. A red wine that honours tradition while embracing a modern, versatile style. Excellent for food pairing or cellaring for up to 15 years.
