Touriga Nacional is Portugal’s most emblematic grape variety, having seen significant qualitative development in recent years. Originally from the Dão region, it has expanded to the Douro, Alentejo, and internationally, including France and the United States. At Quinta de Cidrô, located in São João da Pesqueira, the Touriga Nacional vines grow in an unusual habitat with higher altitude and cooler temperatures, unlike the grape’s typical environment. A complex wine with strong varietal character and marked freshness, produced in one of the Douro’s most innovative estates.
